“Let’s go to the museum!” is the name of the mobile photo exhibition, which was visited by first-year students of the medical and dental faculties of TSMU from Iran, Syria, Uzbekistan, Armenia, Tajikistan. On the posters of the exhibition, which was located in the alleys of the city garden, photographs were presented stories about the branches of the Tver State United Museum.
During the excursion organized by the teachers of the Russian Language Department of TSMU E.D. Aksenova, L.G. Vitlinskaya, E.Y. Borodina, medical students explored rich culture of the Tver Region, learnt how many interesting – local history, military, ethnographic, musical and literary – museums are located in our region. Senior lecturer L.G. Vitlinskaya told the students about the Pushkin museums in Torzhok and Bernovo, about the ethnographic museum in the village of Vasilevo, about the local history museums of Rzhev, Bezhetsk, etc. Acquaintance with the historical and cultural heritage of Tver continued during a tour of the city garden, on the territory of which the Tver Kremlin was located, built in the XII century and burned down during a fire at the end of the XVIII century. Freshmen visited the monuments to Pushkin and Mikhail Tversky.
Visiting the mobile photo exhibition “Let’s go to the Museum!” allowed foreign students to get acquainted with the history and culture of the Tver Region and Russia, and also contributed to the formation of a respectful attitude towards the country of the language being studied, its historical past, present and future.
